Cioaba, Luminita Mihai
(1957- )
   Romania. Poet and journalist. Daughter of Ioan Cioaba, she won first prize for poetry in the second Amico Rom contest. Her poetry includes the Romeo and Juliet-themed ballad "Mara thai Bakro" and the poetry collection Die Wurzelder Erde [The Roots of the Earth], published in Romani, Romanian, German, and English. She has also produced the film Romane Iasfa [Romany Tears] - a documentary on the deportation of the Romanian Roma during the Holocaust. Luminita Cioaba has set up a Social Cultural Foundation in memory of her father.
