Gatlif, Michel Dahamani (Tony)
(1948- )
   Algeria. Film producer. He has been resident since 1962 in France where he has made several documentary films about Gypsies: Corre gitano, Les princes, and Latcho drom (1993). In addition, his productions include three fictional films: Canto gitano [Gypsy Song; 1981], Gadjo Dilo [Foolish Non-Gypsy; 1997], and the later film Swing (2002), featuring a boy in the world of Gypsy jazz. Mondo (1996) and Vengo (2000) also feature Gypsy culture.
