Hearn, Patricio Lafcadio
(1850-1904)
   Greece. Author. Son of a Cypriot Romany mother and a British Romany father, he was one of the first writers to create modern-day journalistic style. He studied in the United States, where he met his wife, who was African American, and spent the end of his life living in Japan.
