Est. 1990. The Helsinki Citizens' Assembly is an international coalition of civic initiatives, east and west, working for the democratic integration of Europe. At its Ankara assembly, several workshops were devoted to the problems of the Romanies, and an hCa Roma Committee with Romany and non-Romany members was established in March 1994. It has its headquarters in Brno, Czech Republic, where Karel Holomek is the contact.
