- Irish Travellers Movement (ITM) Britain
- United Kingdom. Est. 1999. Chairperson: Joe Browne. The aim of ITM Britain is to establish and facilitate a national network of groups, organizations, and individuals working with and within the Traveler community to promote the interests and welfare of the Irish Traveler community in Britain. The ITM was formed due to a recognized need that arose from conferences organized by Brent Irish Advisory Service in consultation with local Traveler projects throughout the country. These three conferences highlighted a lack of representation at a local and national level for Irish Travelers. The main activities of the organization are to promote the recognition of Irish Travelers as a nomadic ethnic group, to bring together in partnership Travelers and those settled people who are committed to achieving full equality for Travelers, and to challenge the racism and discrimination-individual, cultural, and institutional- that Irish Travelers experience.See also Irish Travellers Movement (ITM).
