Kochanowski, Vanya de Gila

(1920-2007)

   Poland. Linguist. Born in Poland but brought up in Latvia, he later lived in France. Kochanowski wrote Gypsy Studies (1963), for which he earned a doctorate, the novel Romano atmo [L'ame tsigane], and Parlons Tsigane.
