Extensive fieldwork by the European Committee on Romani Emancipation and the Agricultural Development Foundation led to the development of RomaDEX in 2003. RomaDEX wants to address the specific problems facing rural Roma. It will provide market identification, the selection of appropriate technology, and training and business development and thereby help jump-start, in the short to medium term, a substantial rise in the real incomes of those involved.
