Berberski, Slobodan
(1919-1989)
   Belgrade. Poet. He was elected president of the World Romany Congress at the first congress in 1971, serving until the second. In 1972 he became the editor of the Romani newspaper Krlo e Rromengo ( [Voice of the Roma]; nine issues in the Romani and Serbian languages from 1972 to 1973). His poetry was inspired by Romany symbols, traditions, and images of everyday life.
