- Sergunin, Iakov
- (Ian Aleksandrovich Reshetnikov)(1954-2004)Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Army officer and politician. He studied at the Soviet Military Academy and had a Ph.D. in law. He was at one time vice prime minister of Chechnya. After returning from Chechnya, he lived in Moscow and actively participated in the Roma movement. He published a book on the human rights of Roma, Legal Self-Defence, financed the creation of the Web page Gypsies of Russia, and created a fund for the support of minorities called Tolerance. Sergunin was murdered on 25 June 2004.
