Kawzcynski, Rudko
   Poland. Contemporary civil rights activist. He came to Germany as a refugee in the 1970s. He was a singer in the Duo Z. Later, he entered the Gypsy civil rights movement and set up the Romani National Congress in Hamburg. He was also active in establishing Eurom. Kawzcynski has organized many demonstrations, such as the Bettlermarsch, a march across Germany to the Swiss frontier, and the occupation of the Neuengamme concentration camp site. He recently arranged the international Lodz Congress and takes part in conferences sponsored by intergovernmental organizations.
