Lazurica, Lazarescu
   Romania. 20th-century civil rights activist. At first he worked with Popp Serboianu, but then in 1933 he set up his own organization, Uniunea Generala a Romilor din Romania (General Union of the Gypsies of Romania). A year later he handed over the presidency to Gheorghe Niculescu.
