- (1922-1994)Bulgaria. Composer. A composer of songs and collector of folk music and tales in Bulgaria. While still at school, he played the trumpet and accordion in a band at weddings. He learned to write music and took up playing light music, including the so-called town songs. In 1949, he was in charge of music at the Roma Theater in Sofia. He was one of the first Gypsy musicians to be recorded by the company Balkanton. He was also the author of the first Romani-Bulgarian dictionary.
