Romany Guild

Romany Guild
United Kingdom. Est. 1972. Founded in 1972 by Gypsies, this group was led by the late Tom Lee, who felt that the non-Gypsy members of the Gypsy Council were too influential. Later it reunited for a short time with the Gypsy Council under the name National Gypsy Council. After the death of Lee, its activities waned but members of the Lee family are trying to reestablish it as a cultural nonpolitical organization.
