National Gypsy Council

National Gypsy Council
   United Kingdom. Est. 1979. President: Hughie Smith. The de facto successor to the Gypsy Council. It was formed in 1973 after a merger of the Gypsy Council and the Romany Guild. The Romany Guild later withdrew and again became an independent body. The council also uses the abbreviated name Gypsy Council on its stationery.
