Stewart, Davie
(1901-1972)
   Scotland. Scottish Traveler, singer, and musician. Stewart served as an underage soldier in World War I and became a piper with the Gordon Highlanders. He earned his living as a street busker in Scotland and Ireland, playing the accordion and the pipes. After his return to Scotland, he was a well-known figure in folk clubs and made several recordings.
